Welcome!
Golden Speech & Language Clinic was founded by Laney Goldsmith, a certified speech-language pathologist with over seven years of experience supporting children across a range of developmental stages and communication needs. She specializes in working with school-aged children who present with a variety of communication disorders and has extensive experience with early childhood (ages 3–5) through middle school populations.
Laney has a strong background in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) programming and is especially passionate about supporting autistic children through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. Her clinical expertise includes expressive and receptive language disorders, motor speech disorders, executive functioning challenges, and literacy development.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and earned her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Washington State University. Laney is certified in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) for the treatment of childhood apraxia of speech and has advanced training in narrative language intervention, gestalt language processing, Visualizing and Verbalizing® (Lindamood-Bell), and the Wilson Reading System.
At Golden Speech & Language, Laney brings a play-based, child-led approach to therapy rooted in connection. Her mission is to empower children to confidently communicate their wants, needs, and ideas in meaningful ways.
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her reading, experimenting in the kitchen, or spending time with her sweet mini double doodle, Bogey.
